The media team of a chieftain of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief Primus Odili, has declared that their principal has already captured the hearts of many loyal party members through years of unwavering support and strategic contributions to the party’s growth.
The team made the assertion while reacting to an analysis by Eneh Victor Chigozie, which it said failed to reflect the true political reality on ground in Anambra North Senatorial District.

According to the team, Odili is widely regarded across the district as the clear favourite to clinch the APGA senatorial ticket when the party eventually holds its primaries.

They argued that the growing support for Odili is not based on speculation or rumours but on what they described as his deep grassroots connection and the overwhelming backing he enjoys among party faithful across communities in the zone.

The media team stressed that politics within APGA has always revolved around loyalty, strong political structure and the capacity to carry party members along, insisting that Odili stands tall in all these areas.

“For years, Chief Odili has remained one of the biggest stakeholders of APGA in Anambra State, consistently investing his time, resources and political energy into strengthening the party structure across communities,” the statement said.

The team further noted that Odili’s commitment to the party did not begin with his senatorial ambition but had been a long-standing record of dedication and sacrifice.

They said he had sponsored numerous party activities and mobilised support for APGA during critical elections, describing his role as both visible and influential.

Citing the last governorship election in the state as an example, the team said Odili played a key role in the political groundwork that helped consolidate the party’s strength in Anambra North.

They added that the projects and mobilisation efforts he championed in the area contributed significantly to APGA’s electoral success in the zone.

The team therefore dismissed claims that the race for the senatorial ticket was a two-horse contest, insisting that such a narrative ignores the political momentum currently building around Odili.

“When the time for the primaries arrives, the voices of the grassroots — the very foundation of the party — will speak loudly,” the media team stated.
