The Anglican Primate, His Grace, Most Rev Henry Ndukuba has endorsed the capacity of a former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria,Prof Chukwuma Soludo, to become the next Governor of Anambra State.
He expressed confidence in the abilities of Soludo, stating that “he has all it takes to become a good governor.”
Ndukuba stated this on Sunday while praying for the APGA standard-bearer at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church Parish, Igboezunu-Aguleri, in the Anambra East Local Government Area of the state, ahead of the November 6 poll in the state.
He described Soludo’s successes at CBN as unprecedented stating that God’s purpose for him would come to pass.
He said, “Heavenly Father we pray for your servant, Soludo, who has distinguished himself in this nation as a good steward of the resources of this land.
“He managed the Central Bank of this nation and other economic policies of this land and made our economy to prosper under his watch.
“God, you have also distinguished him in the academia. Heavenly father, let the spirit of excellence continue to rest mightily upon him.
“Lord, grant him the desire of his heart. Holy God build your hedge around him, in this time of electioneering campaign, give him favour before thee. Let the heart of man look up to him.
“Heavenly Father I pray that that purpose you have for him shall come to pass in Jesus name.”
Assuring of the church’s prayers and support in the challenging times , the cleric prayed for the peaceful conduct of election and transition of power in the state.
