Anambra State has achieved a significant milestone, recording no gunshots from either the police or criminals in the past month.

The recent change in leadership at the state police command, led by Commissioner Ikioye Orutugu, has been crucial in achieving success.

The new leadership has brought in fresh perspectives and approaches to policing, motivating personnel and contributing significantly to the command’s accomplishments.

During a courtesy visit by The RAZOR Management Team, Orutugu credited God’s grace for the success.

He also expressed gratitude to sister security agencies and the people of Anambra for their cooperation.

Orutugu emphasized the importance of proactive problem-solving, rather than relying on fixed strategies.

He noted that Anambra, with its rich resources and notable figures like, include Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, Chief Emeka Anyaoku and Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, deserves peace.

Addressing the issue of sit-at-home exercises, Orutugu highlighted Anambra’s commercial importance in Sub-Saharan Africa.

He predicted a celebration of emerging peace and warned those still with evil intentions that the police would resist such attempts.

“I’m an Ijaw man, we are not born to fear,” Orutugu declared.

The RAZOR team assured the Commissioner of their support, acknowledging the reduced crime rates in the state.

The full interview will be published later.
