Anambra State is basking once again in the glory of academic excellence as Master Favour Chigozie Nwadinobi, a student of Premium Breed Secondary School, Nnewichi Nnewi emerged as one of the six finalists to represent Nigeria at the 2023 International Chemistry Olympiad in Switzerland.
Master Nwadinobi who is the overall best in Anambra competed with students from over 600 schools to emerged as one of the finalists to represent the country.
Welcoming the team in her office at the State Secretariate Complex Awka, the Commissioner of Education, Prof Ngozi Chuma- Udeh reiterated the State Government’s unwavering commitment in providing Anambra students with every opportunity to excel academically at both the national and international levels
She further commended Nwadinobi and Premium Breed Secondary School for their outstanding performance, while emphasizing the importance of continued dedication and hard work.
She enjoined them not to rest on their laurels as the state would eagerly anticipate an outstanding performance at the Olympiad.
In his remark, Ven Henry Nduka JP, Education Secretary, Anglican Diocese of Nnewi said the feat was a testament to the present administration’s commitment to nurturing and promoting academic excellence among its students.
A visibly elated Principal of the School, Canon Nwajide, thanked the state government for providing the enabling atmosphere for Anambra education sector, adding that at the state level of the competition,the school clinched the first three positions.
In his speech, Master Nwadinobi attributed his achievement to God, his teachers and his dedication to his studies.
