
Anambra State schools have won nine awards in this year’s 2025 President’s Teachers and Schools Excellence Award.
Commissioner for education in Anambra State, Prof Ngozi Chuma-Udeh disclosed this in a post she made in her Facebook handle.
The commissioner gave a rundown of the schools that won the awards, praising for their residence and excellence.
1.Woliwo Primary School II Onitsha won the STAR PRIZE as the OVERALL BEST SCHOOL IN NIGERIA; a sixteen seater bus in the all round best school in Nigeria.
2. Pinkberry International School Odume Obosi which received award as the first runner up, best approved private primary school in Nigeria.
3. Emmanuel Ndibe of St Theresas Secondary School Enugwu Ukwu won the first runner up of best approved private senior secondary school teacher in Nigeria while.
4. Nkechi Ikedi of Pinkbery International Primary School Odume Obosi won the first runner up, best improved private primary school teacher in Nigeria.
5. GSS Ojoto-first runner up best public junior secondary school in Nigeria
6. Cosmas Nwata of Igbariam Farm Settlement primary school-first runner up best public primary school teacher in Nigeria.
7. Amaka Ubaka of Prince Memorial Secondary School Onitsha- won the first runner up, best public senior secondary school Administrator in Nigeria.
8. Okafor Ngozi of Community High School Nkwelle Ezunaka- First runner up best public junior secondary school Administrator in Nigeria
9. Edozieobi Nnenna of Model Primary School Akabor Ojoto- First runner up best public primary school administrator in Nigeria.
She added that: “They all received a laptop each. The award ceremony was performed today (Sunday) at the Eagles square Abuja where Anambra State was presented the Awards by the Hon. Minister for Education, Dr. Maruf Olatunji Alausa.”
