The Southeast zonal chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Dr Ijomah Arodiogbu, has declared that the party will take over governorship seat of Anambra state come November 8 election

Addressing stakeholders of the party at the APC Secretariat in Awka, Anambra state, Tuesday, he said President Bola Tinubu never endorsed Governor Chukwuma Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA when he visited the state, as being speculated

However, he said the APC needs all the unity in the state with the help of the governors in the zone to achieve the result and by folding hands by the party faithful

The stakeholders comprised of the state executive of the party, the zonal leaders, the local government and Ward leaders .

Arodiogbu, announced that the governorship and senatorial elections were dear to the hearts of APC leaders both in Southeast and the national , adding that APC will leave no stone unturned in winning them.

He maintained that Tinubu’s visit to Anambra state was to honour Chief Emeka Anyaoku at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, UNIZIK, adding that it was only what the state government wanted to achieve by attaching itself to the visit.

“The current Governor in Anambra state has become so unpopular to the churches, to the traditional institutions, to the market women, traditionalists among others, therefore, he stands no chance in the election

“Mr President did not endorse him when he came to Anambra state on the invitation of Chief Emeka Anayaoku, who, Mr President has tremendous respect for. What they called endorsement was only a photo opportunity” Dr Arodiogbu said

Also speaking, the state chairman of the party, Chief Basil Ejidike, commended President Tinubu’s leadership qualities, reason, he has achieved a lot in the Southeast

He employed the Southeast leader, Arodiogbu to draw the attention of the national leadership of APC on the elections coming up in Anambra state.

He enjoined everyone to participate actively for the growth and sustenance of APC in the state, describing the House of Assembly and the senatorial elections as a litmus test for APC and a lead way to the governorship of November 8 election.
