A chieftain of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Chinedu Obigwe, has launched a scathing attack on Prof. Obiora Okonkwo, a governorship aspirant, over his criticism of Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s administration in Anambra State.
Obigwe described Okonkwo as a “shameless pimp” who is “dwelling in self-deceit” due to his “dead on arrival” governorship ambition.
“The shameless pimp called Obiora Okonkwo is dwelling in self-deceit because of his dead on arrival governorship ambition,” Obigwe said in a statement on Monday.
He claimed that Okonkwo’s criticism of Soludo is motivated by his own failed political ambitions and is not taken seriously by reasonable minds.
“Reasonable minds will not take Obiora Okonkwo’s politically motivated lies against Governor Soludo seriously because they know very well that his dead on arrival governorship ambition has beclouded his sense of reasoning,” Obigwe stated.
According to Obigwe, Governor Soludo has transformed Anambra State, with developments that have never been seen before since the state’s creation.
“The development going on in Anambra under Soludo’s watch is something the people of the State have never seen before since the creation of our State,” he said.
Obigwe cited Senator Chris Ngige’s testimony that Soludo has surpassed his own record of achievements in office, noting that Soludo has surpassed the achievements of other former governors of the state.
Obigwe dismissed Okonkwo as a “failed politician” who has been rejected by the people of Anambra State multiple times.
“Obiora Okonkwo is someone the people of the State rejected many times that he contested for both Senate and governorship election because they know that he has nothing to offer them,” he said.
He accused Okonkwo of using “cooked-up lies” to fuel insecurity in the state and score cheap political points.
“People like Obiora Okonkwo are using cooked-up lies against the Governor to embolden criminals and fuel insecurity in the State,” Obigwe alleged.
The APGA chieftain warned that Okonkwo’s plans to use insecurity issues to pull Soludo down will fail, as the governor has won the hearts of the Anambra people with his multifaceted approach to governance.
“Governor Soludo has used his administration’s multifaceted approach to issues of governance in the state to win the heart of Anambra people,” Obigwe said.
