News of Unknown Gunmen Attack in Anambra is Fake – Police

News of an attack by unknown gunmen, numbering about 15 in Nkwo Awkuzu has been described by Anambra State Police Command as fake.

Some news sites had published that “unknown men have taken to attack okada riders at Nkwo Awkuzu. The men who are numbered about fifteen matched towards Ifitedunu town on Awkuzu road after the attacks.”

 

THE RAZOR NEWS how ever gathered that the news of the attack is false.

 

DSP Toochukwu Ikenganyia, Anambra command’s PPRO who spoke to THE RAZOR NEWS said: “Please it is fake.

 

“No such incident happened, we urge the members of the public especially Ndi Anamabra to disregard it please. It is the handiwork of mischief makers.”

 

Ikenga however said that the police commissioner, Echeng Eworo has led combined tem of security men round the state to boost both the confidence of members of the public and those of the police officers.

 

“The Commissioner of Police today led the military and heads of other Sister agencies on a confidence building patrol, we just visited Ihiala, Nkpor, ihiala and the patrol is still on.”
