Chinedu Obigwe, National Coordinator of APGA Media Warriors Forum, has dismissed Nicholas Ukachukwu, the APC governorship candidate in Anambra State, as an “empty vessel” with nothing to offer the people.
Obigwe made the remarks ahead of the November 8th governorship election, emphasizing that Ukachukwu’s past legislative performance was woeful.
Obigwe alleged that Ukachukwu manipulated the APC primary election to emerge as the candidate, citing concerns from other aspirants who contested the ticket.
He also accused Ukachukwu of attempting to create a false impression of APC’s presence in Anambra State through church visits and thanksgiving events.
In contrast, Obigwe praised Governor Charles Soludo’s governance record, stating that he is contesting the election unopposed.
“Anambra has passed the stage an empty vessel like Nicholas Ukachukwu can govern,” Obigwe said, adding that Soludo’s good governance and the electorate’s desire for continuity will ensure his re-election.
Ukachukwu’s emergence as APC’s candidate has been marred by controversy, with allegations of delegate list manipulation and mass defections from the party.
Obigwe expressed confidence in Soludo’s victory, attributing it to his good governance and the electorate’s desire for continuity.
“As long as I’m concerned, Nicholas Ukachukwu knows nothing about governance, and no electorate in Anambra State that’s on their right senses will vote for him,” he said ³.
