Prince Chinedu Okafor, Mayor of Awka South Local Government Area, has intensified efforts to enhance healthcare delivery in the community by providing critical medical equipment to Primary Healthcare Centres (PHCs) across the LGA.
Recognising that quality healthcare is a cornerstone of community development and productivity, Mayor Okafor has consistently prioritised the wellbeing of his constituents through practical interventions.

In recent weeks, he has facilitated the distribution of essential hospital equipment, including bed stands, wheelchairs, delivery beds, and vital drugs, to various PHCs.

Healthcare workers and residents alike have welcomed the initiative, noting that the support has significantly improved patient care and eased operational challenges at the grassroots level.

“These interventions are timely and impactful. They have made our work more efficient and have enhanced the comfort and care we provide to patients,” said a senior staff member at one of the beneficiary centres.
