Gaius Chibueze, a popular entrepreneur and Bitcoin chief, says he will still sponsor Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma to study overseas despite admitting to a panel of independent investigators set up by the Anambra State Government that she forged her 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination results.
Gaius, who claimed President Bola Tinubu forged his academic certificate, advised Nigerians not to destroy a little girl’s future because of a forged certificate’ .
He also claimed young people would not see a reason to forge certificates if the country’ s president had authentic academic certificates.
He said, ” I will still sponsor Mmesoma. Whether she agreed or not that’s not my problem. Suppose illegality was not celebrated openly like INEC swearing in a President who didn’ t win the elections.
”A president with a forged certificate and no trace of primary to university education. If Nigeria didn’ t celebrate elected officials who rig elections, etc, young people won’ t see a reason to forge certificates and be celebrated openly. While we address this, we must look at the entire society.
” If you want us to accept, celebrate and defend a president who rigged election with forged certificate, we must also not destroy little girl’s future with a forged certificate.
” I will personally call her and explain to her that JAMB numbers don’ t define how far she can go in life and next time she shouldn’ t bother forging one. I and our company @voiceoftheeast will still sponsor her.
”Whenever we are ready to clean the mess society has become we will start with public officials many who are elected with forged certificates. They are the bad examples people like Mmesoma are copying from.
She has made a mistake and she must be corrected and shown the right path for next time! Selah! “
Meanwhile, the Governor of Anambra State, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, has directed that Mmesomma be handed over to the State Guidance Counselor.
In a letter to the Principal of Anglican Girls Secondary School Nnewi, Soludo further directed the immediate commencement of psychological counseling and therapy session for Mmesomma, who had on Thursday 6th July 2023 admitted that she manipulated the fake results she she had been parading.
In the letter signed by the Commissioner for Education, Prof Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, Soludo directed the handing over of Mmesomma to a Professor of Clinical Psychology.
The directive is in line with one of the recommendations of the Committee set up by Anambra State Government to investigate the matter, following the parading of the fake results which elicited interests and generated controversy and misgivings.
