The pastor of Rhema Deliverance Ministry, Awka, Dr Amaechi Nwachukwu on Sunday distributed monies realized by his church from offering to poor members of his church.
The pastor who emptied the church’s offering box to members of his church also donated his personal money for distribution.
Pastor Nwachukwu immediately after the offering ordered ushers in the church to bring out the offering box, while also asking that the monies be distributed to members of the church who had no food at home.
After giving out money to 10 members who accepted to not having food at home, Nwachukwu asked the ushers to move seat by seat and give monies to all members of the church, after which he also selected aged women in the church who he personally gave more money.
The pastor had earlier lamented the level of hardship in Nigeria, stating that it is time for Nigerians to begin to help one another.
During his sermon, Nwachukwu stated that there are persons who are presently experiencing the temptation of going into sinful acts because or the level of hardship in the country.
While speaking to THE RAZOR, Nwachukwu said he was moved to distribute the church’s money to members by the level of hardship in the country.
“I wish I had a bagful of money to give out. I decided to give to everyone because I know that some people may not have food in their houses, but because of shame, they refused to come out.
“That was why after giving to the first people that indicated that they didn’t have food, I decided to give to everybody in the church. We are hoping that God will deliver this country, turn around the fortunes of the country and also heal its people,” Nwachukwu said.
