People’s Senator, Ifeanyi Ubah Attends Anambra Day Celebration in Birmingham, UK

The Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial zone, and Candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) for the district, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah on Sunday attended Anambra day celebration organized by Anambra United Forum (AUF), in Birmingham, United Kingdom.

Uba who used the opportunity to fraternize with Anambra Indigenes in UK called for support for the development of Igbo land, urging its members to always think home and support development in their home state.

Ubah told them that Igboland, especially Anambra State needs support of all citizens including those in the diaspora for sustainable development.

“I appreciate ndị Anambra in the United Kingdom for mapping out a day to celebrate the state with their families. I urge you to support the state’s development by investing in projects that will employ citizens and boost the state’s internally generated revenue.”

The Anambra South Senator also used the opportunity to highlight his efforts at the upper chamber of the Nigerian National Assembly in attracting quality policies and programmes to his constituency and state in general.

He reassured them that he will continue to support their welfare through the instrumentality of his office. He further urged them to always promote Igbo culture, norms and value.

Responding on behalf of AUF, the Forum’s Chairman, Kanayo Ohuchalu appreciated Senator Ubah for gracing the event and reassured him of their continuous support in the development of Anambra State and Alaigbo in general.

They further appreciated the efforts championed by the Anambra South Senator towards promoting the interests of his constituents and Anambra in general, and urged him to keep on keeping on.
