
The Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze, has extended his goodwill message to Muslim faithful as they celebrate Eid-el-Fitr.
He emphasized the importance of prioritizing the growth and development of the country by pursuing peace and unity at all times
Udeze noted that despite differences in religious inclinations, there is one God who rules over the affairs of men and the universe.
He urged Muslims to coexist harmoniously with their Christian brothers and accommodate their religious differences with one faith in God.
The Speaker encouraged Muslims to show love to one another and to Christians, stating that love drives away hatred, envy, anger, and other vices and corrupt tendencies.
He also commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for his spirit of ecumenism, hospitality, and oneness towards the Muslim community in the state.
Udeze called on Muslims to reciprocate the governor’s gesture by giving more support to his administration.
His message emphasized the need for religious tolerance, peaceful coexistence, and unity among people of different faiths .
