A former Managing Director of the Anambra Broadcasting Service (ABS) has been appointed as the Director of Media and Communications for Paul Chukwuma’s 2025 gubernatorial campaign. This move is seen as a strategic boost to Chukwuma’s campaign, as he seeks to secure the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket for the Anambra State governorship election.
Chukwuma, a frontline APC aspirant, has officially launched his campaign for the Anambra State House with the inauguration of his primary election campaign council in Abuja. The 15-member council comprises a stellar cast of proven political and community leaders, whose influence on the political environment of Anambra State has been established over time.
The campaign council is led by Hon. Ifeanyi Ibezi, a former House of Representatives member, who serves as the Director-General, while Chief Uzu Okagbue, a former Chief of Protocol and Deputy Chief of Staff to former Governor Willie Obiano, is the Deputy Director-General. Other members of the council include seasoned politicians, professionals, and experts in various fields.
Speaking at the inauguration, Chukwuma emphasized the need for human capital development, infrastructural development, and security in his campaign, urging the council to work hard to secure his candidacy. He noted that the current challenges facing Anambra State, including insecurity and other issues, require a new approach and leadership.
The inauguration was followed by a seminar featuring lectures from renowned scholars, focusing on pragmatic politics and team leadership. The seminar was designed to equip the campaign council members with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively manage the campaign and deliver Chukwuma as the APC candidate for the 2025 Anambra gubernatorial election.”
