Joe Igbokwe, a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has opened up about the personal adjustments he has made due to Nigeria’s ongoing economic hardship.

In a candid post shared on September 21, Igbokwe revealed that he no longer drives his car and has drastically reduced his electricity usage at home.

He stated, “I don carry my motor comot for road oooo. No be anywhere I de go now. For house, we don switch off 70% of the electricity to survive oooo. Life na teacher ooooo.”

Acknowledging the reality of the situation, he added, “I cannot deceive myself,” highlighting the necessity of adapting to the current economic climate.

Igbokwe’s remarks resonate with many Nigerians who are facing similar challenges, reflecting the widespread struggles with inflation and rising living costs.

The reactions to Igbokwe’s admission have been mixed, particularly because he holds a leadership position in the ruling party.
