There was jubilation in Agulu, Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State, as Senator Victor Umeh, representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, commissioned and handed over a newly completed block of three classrooms to St. Albert The Great College, Agulu.
The project, executed under Senator Umeh’s constituency intervention programme, is fully furnished with modern desks, whiteboards, and ceiling fans, all aimed at enhancing teaching and learning conditions.
Speaking at the event, Senator Umeh said the classroom block was part of his ongoing effort to improve educational infrastructure and expand access to quality learning across communities in Anambra Central.
The management of St. Albert The Great College expressed deep appreciation to the senator for what they described as a timely and transformative intervention. They noted that the new classrooms would help decongest existing facilities and provide a more conducive learning environment for students and teachers.
“This is a dream come true for us,” a senior staff member of the school said. “We are deeply grateful to Senator Umeh for his continued commitment to education and community development.”
Community leaders and parents who attended the handover ceremony also hailed Senator Umeh’s people-oriented approach to governance, describing him as a model of responsive representation. They called on other public office holders to emulate his example by prioritizing projects that directly impact the lives of their constituents.
The project is one of more than 80 constituency projects executed by Senator Umeh across Anambra Central, spanning key sectors such as education, healthcare, rural electrification, and road infrastructure.
For the students of St. Albert The Great College, the new classroom block is more than just a structure — it represents renewed hope, opportunity, and the promise of a brighter educational future made possible through visionary leadership.
