John Nwosu, a top contender for the Labour Party’s governorship ticket, has vowed to adopt a winning strategy inspired by Liberia’s recent presidential election, where a 78-year-old underdog defeated the incumbent.

Speaking at a press conference in Awka, the Anambra State capital on Saturday, Nwosu emphasized that this approach would empower the masses to protect their votes and triumph over electoral manipulation.

Nwosu also tackled Anambra’s pressing issues, including infrastructure decline and rising crime rates.

He proposed community policing and intelligent ICT solutions, citing Nnewi’s successful model as an example to follow.

“I’m committed to ending insecurity,” Nwosu declared, having witnessed the devastating aftermath of last Saturday’s massacre in Nibo, which claimed 16 lives.

Nwosu highlighted his thorough approach, consulting widely before entering the race.

He shared his impressive educational background, including primary education at Onitsha, secondary education at All Hallows Seminary, and degrees from the Institute of Management and Technology, University of Lagos, and Lagos Business School.

Nwosu’s governance platform, SHEEEMS (Security, Health, Education, Economy, Environment, Markets, and Social Welfare), promises best practices and efficient service delivery.

He aims to replicate and improve the ANIDS governance model, emphasizing humble, diligent, and transformative leadership, as seen in Abia and Enugu States.

“My approach is different,” Nwosu said. “I offer a commitment to transparency, accountability, and measurable results”,he maintained.
