A former Commissioner in Anambra State, Dr. Christian C. Madubuko, has reaffirmed his allegiance to the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), distancing himself from a video currently making the rounds on social media which appears to cast doubt on his political loyalties.

In an official disclaimer issued from the University of New England, Armidale, New South Wales, Australia, where he currently resides, Madubuko clarified that the video in question was recorded in April 2021 during a community engagement in Anaku, Ayamelum Local Government Area of Anambra State.

According to him, the incident that led to the recording has since been amicably resolved.

“I have committed myself fully to the pursuits of progress and unity within our community and political landscape,” Madubuko said.

Setting the record straight, the former commissioner emphasized that he remains a committed and proud member of APGA and has since reengaged with the party.

He recalled being appointed into the cabinet of Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo in January 2023, further cementing his standing within the party.

Despite his current base in Australia, Madubuko pledged unwavering support for Governor Soludo’s administration, describing his re-election in the upcoming November 8, 2025 governorship poll as a “sacred duty.”

“Governor Soludo’s re-election is not only desirable but imperative for the continued development of our state,” he stressed.

Madubuko also sent a stern message to opposition elements in Anaku community who, according to him, have attempted to exploit his past engagements for political gain.

He warned that any attempt to misrepresent his position would be met with robust political resistance leading to a decisive victory for APGA.

“I call upon opposition factions to focus their energies on policy-based campaigns and desist from using or attaching my name to their well-known failures,” he said.

He further noted that APGA continues to work collaboratively with the Federal Government to advance Anambra’s development and dismissed as “political pretenders” those who claim they are better positioned to connect the state to the national mainstream.

“Their true motives deserve scrutiny,” he added, urging voters to remain vigilant and informed.

Madubuko reaffirmed the commitment of the Anambra North Senatorial District to Governor Soludo’s leadership and called for collective mobilisation to secure APGA’s victory at the polls.

“This statement stands as a testament to our dedication to truth, integrity, and the progress of Anambra State,” he declared.
