Nigeria: So much problem, but I believe Tinubu is equal to the task – Anambra Monarch

The traditional ruler of Oraifite in Ekwusigo local government area of Anambra State, Igwe Dan Udoji is worried about the numerous problems facing Nigerians, but he believes that President Bola Tinubu is equal to the task.

Addressing reporters at Oraifite, the Monarch said what the president needs is patience and support to spur him to be able to meet the aspirations of Nigerians.

The Monarch said: “Nigeria has witnessed transition to another democratically elected government. It is no longer news that the election produced the head of this new dispensation in the person of His Excellency, Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu as the President and Commander In Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria.

“It is time for the victorious candidates for different political offices to sit down and concentrate on their job of giving quality democracy dividends/benefits to Nigerians, for which reason they were elected.

“His Excellency, President Tinubu, from his body language, is passionately committed to giving Nigerians good governance. I must, however, call on the president to put more efforts.

“Nigeria has numerous problems and we don’t expect the president to solve them overnight. We have to be patient and give him the necessary support.

“He means well and if we give him the much needed support, he will do the right thing.
“It is true that the level of hunger and starvation across the country is increasingly alarming and it is my desire that the federal government under the watch of President Tinubu will do necessary radical needful, urgently, to ameliorate the suffering of teeming Nigerians.

“I am abundantly hopeful that the president is dotting the i to get it right for Nigerians soon.

“Closely related to the issue of poverty is the near collapse of security apparatus across the country. I commend the security operatives who are on the front line of checkmating insecurity. Some of them have paid the supreme sacrifice in the course of doing their legitimate duties.

“The federal government should, therefore, deploy all physical and material approach to solving the issue of insecurity in the land.

“It is also important to call attention of the federal government to the collapse of many industries and companies, especially in the South East.

“No effort will be too much to assist the industrialists bounce back to production and in the process, offer employment to the youths, many of whom are roaming around the streets not because they are lazy.”

The Royal Father commended the Vice President, Senator Kashim Shetima for his recent visit to Oraifite during which he commissioned the Electric Meter Manufacturing factory and a radio station built by an indigene of the town, Dr. Emeka Offor.

He also commended the administration of Prof Chukwuma Saludo on his achievements since he came on board two years ago.

“The Soludo administration is working tirelessly on the mantra of building a prosperous and liveable homeland for Anambracitizens. The governor has made it imperative that he was going to use the slum Okpoko Community in Ogbaru LGA as a model for what he would occasion in Anambra State. In doing that, roads are being rehabilitated and reconstructed across the state,” the monarch said.
