In a bold move to tackle the growing insecurity in Anambra State, Governor Chukwuma Soludo has declared that anyone found in the bush henceforth will be considered a criminal.

This declaration was made at a press conference on Tuesday, where the Governor outlined a comprehensive approach to addressing the security challenges in the state.

According to Governor Soludo, the state government would launch a new robust security outfit named “Operation Udo ga- adi'” by next month. This outfit will be stationed at every nook and cranny of the state, including the bushes, to flush out and destroy all criminal hideouts.

The Governor emphasized that the state government wouldbno longer tolerate any form of criminality, and anyone who gives support to criminals would be treated as a criminal.

He also announced that there would be active phone numbers for reporting information and that the state government would take over any land or building used by criminals.

In addition, Governor Soludo revealed that the state government had arrested over 3,000 unknown gunmen, with 90% of them being Igbo and 70% not from Anambra State.

The Governor appealed to kidnappers, cultists, and drug dealers to surrender themselves and their weapons within two months, assuring them of rehabilitation and empowerment.

With these measures, Governor Soludo has sent a clear message that Anambra State would no longer be a haven for criminals. The people of Anambra can look forward to a safer and more secure environment in the coming months.
