The governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Anambra State, Sir John Nwosu, has expressed confidence in the growing support for his candidacy and the ADC coalition, describing it as a clear sign that Ndi Anambra are eager for credible change.
In a statement issued Saturday evening, Sir Nwosu said it was “very gratifying” to witness the increasing enthusiasm of the people towards the ADC as a viable alternative to the current administration led by Governor Charles Soludo.
“We assure those who seek credible, transformative and adaptive leadership in Anambra that we will not fail them,” Nwosu declared.
Positioning himself as a candidate of substance and capability, Nwosu highlighted his background alongside his running mate as seasoned entrepreneurs drawn from the organised private sector. He stressed their combined experience in resource management and people-oriented leadership.
“Our mission is to take Anambra from the theory of good governance to its practical application—anchored on sustainable development,” he said.
The ADC candidate’s remarks come amid rising political activity in the state ahead of the upcoming gubernatorial elections.
Analysts suggest that the ADC’s message of competence and reform could resonate strongly among voters dissatisfied with the status quo.
