The Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Chief Victor Umeh, has asked his constituents not to despair over the prevailing economic circumstances.
He said , “It is encouraging to know that we all continue surviving against the unprecedented economic downturn.”
Umeh stated this in his New Month Message for November,2023.
Referring to Matthew chapter 20 verse 6 – 7 where Jesus taught the Parable of Workers in the Vineyard, Umeh restated the miracle of the Eleventh Hour.
The Senator’s message reads;
SENATOR VICTOR UMEH’S NEW MONTH MESSAGE OF HOPE TO NDỊ ANAMBRA CENTRAL AND OTHERS
It is a thing of joy to welcome you all in this new month of November 2023 despite the onerous challenges that make living quite exhaustive.
The Year 2023 is indeed a very significant Year in the political history of Nigeria having transcended another political dispensation after the last General Election that ushered us into the present day realities. However, it is encouraging to know that we all continue surviving against the unprecedented economic downturn.
Regardless, there is a scriptural Lesson about the Eleventh Hour as contained in the Book of Matthew chapter 20 verse 6 – 7 where Jesus taught the Parable of Workers in the Vineyard.
“Verse 6: And about the Eleventh Hour he went out and found others standing idle, and said to them, ‘Why have you been standing here idle all day?’ 7: They said to him, ‘Because no one hired us.’ He said to them, ‘You also go into the Vineyard, and whatever is right you will receive.”
This passage speaks to us about the miracle of the Eleventh Hour whereby, Labourers who have waited since the beginning of the day till the Eleventh Hour and have lost all hope, miraculously got to work for the last one hour and were paid even wages as was paid others.
Based on the Scripture, I hereby urge everyone to enter this Eleventh Month with the readiness to put in our best in all our endeavors. I pray for the Eleventh Hour blessings upon you and your families.
May it be a Month of extraordinary accomplishments for you and may God keep you safe from all evil that roam the Ember Months.
I look on to seeing you all in the 12th Month ( December) when God who is the owner of the Vineyard will look pleasantly on all of us and reward us for running a successful race.
