Nwoye endorses Soludo’s re-election bid, reopens Murmyz Hotel at wife’s birthday

In a grand ceremony that exuded joy and gratitude, Chief Anthony Uchenna Nwoye (Ezeani Oba), a renowned businessman, entrepreneur, and chieftain of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), has endorsed the re-election  bid of Governor Chukwuma Soludo.

Nwoye made the endorsement during an event to mark the birthday of his wife, Lolo Uju Favour Nwoye (Obuteaku), where he also reopened his esteemed Murmyz Garden Hotel on Sunday, May 18, 2025.

The occasion was made even more special as Chief Nwoye celebrated his wife’s birthday in style. Lolo Uju Favour Nwoye (Obuteaku), whose actual birthday was on May 12, 2025, was treated to a belated celebration that showcased the love and affection of her husband, family, and friends.

The event also served as a platform for Chief Nwoye to host distinguished guests, including the APGA Local Government Chairman, Chief Kezito Anoliefo, and his ward members, as well as the party’s key principal officer at the state level, Rt Hon Uche Mmaduekwe.

In his welcome address, Chief Nwoye (Ezeani Oba) expressed profound gratitude to God and commended Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo’s leadership and efforts in making Anambra State a secure haven.

He specifically thanked the governor for intervening in the sealing of his hotel, which was later found innocent and allowed to resume operations. Chief Nwoye highlighted notable projects initiated by the governor in Oba, including road construction and a solar-powered borehole, and pledged to deliver a 95% margin vote for the governor’s re-election.

He also praised the state’s security outfit, Agunechemba Operation Udo-Ga-Achi, and requested the governor’s consideration for the Oba-Umuoji road project and potential political appointments for Oba indigenes.

The President General of Oba Town, Chief Engr Uzo Ejiofor, noted that Oba Town is experiencing a new dawn, attributing this to the people’s support for Governor Soludo’s government and the APGA party. He commended the Mayor of Idemili South Local Government Area for bringing the dividends of democracy to the people.

The APGA State Assistant Treasurer, Rt Hon Uche Mmaduekwe, expressed confidence that the party will continue to grow from strength to strength and commended Chief Anthony Nwoye for hosting the party executives and members.

During the ceremony, Nze Ebele Nna Nkeechi (Ogbuefi Chinyerelugo N’ Oba) performed the kolanut ritual, praying for the Chief Host and his wife, as well as for the sustainability of APGA in Anambra State.

Also speaking, Hon. Chief Kezito Nwakibie Anoliefo, the Idemili South Chairman of APGA, commended Chief Anthony Nwoye for his generosity and dedication to the party, stating that his gesture is worthy of emulation. He further urged the people of Oba Town to sustain their support for Governor Soludo’s administration.”

Several dignitaries sent goodwill messages to Chief Nwoye’s wife, including Amb Prince Emeka Ibeh, CEO of Maslina Hotel Ltd; Hon. Chibueze Prince Okoli , Majority Leader of the Congress of Councilors; APGA L.G Youth leader, Hon. Agustine Ejibendu, Supervisor for Works, Engr Ebuka Smart Nriama, Supervisor for Health, Hon. Ifeanyi Eriobu and S.A on Mobilization, Chief Prince Dozie Okafor.

Other attendees included Elite Chiefs, Special title holders, Business Mogul and members of various clubs, such as the Sisters Love of Nigeria and Standard Ladies Club, who came to share in the joy of their club member, Lolo Ujunwa Favour Nwoye.

The event was a resounding success, showcasing the warmth and hospitality of Chief Anthony Nwoye and his family, while also highlighting the growing strength of APGA in Anambra State and the people’s appreciation for Governor Soludo’s leadership.

The event also included a cake-cutting ceremony, dancing, and a musical display featuring a variety of music, which added glamour and color to the occasion.
