The National Coordinator of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Chinedu Obigwe, has responded fiercely to a recent statement made by a lawyer, John Isicheli, describing it as “senseless ranting and blackmail”.

In a statement released on Friday, Obigwe denounced Isicheli’s comments as a “blackmail piece” aimed at Governor Soludo.

He characterized Isicheli as a “hungry charge and bail lawyer” seeking to gain from his association with a political opponent.

Obigwe’s statement was a direct response to Isicheli’s earlier comments, which he deemed a malicious attack on Governor Soludo’s character.

He accused Isicheli of being a “moronic supporter” , who is trying to discredit Soludo’s achievements.

Obigwe expressed confidence that the people of Anambra State would reject Isicheli and paymaster’s alleged attempts to undermine Governor Soludo’s progress.

He warned that they would “Anambra people will teach them a bitter lesson” in the 2025 elections.

Obigwe’s statement reflects the ongoing tensions between APGA and a certain oil mogul’s faction in Anambra State.

The rivalry has been marked by public exchanges and accusations, with each side accusing the other of political manipulation.

The statement has sparked reactions from political analysts, who see it as a sign of the intense political climate in Anambra State.

Some have called for calm and restraint, urging political leaders to focus on the state’s development rather than personal attacks.

As the political landscape in Anambra State continues to unfold, one thing is clear: the rivalry between APGA and Ifeanyi Ubah’s faction will be a significant factor in the 2025 elections
