The National Coordinator of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Media Warriors Forum, Chinedu Obigwe, has debunked the story by Chuks Uloka that : “Anambra State lawmakers ride Keke, while the governor’s girlfriends and others cruise in luxury cars”.
Reacting to the story in a statement on Saturday, Obigwe who accused Uloka of working for high chief Obiora Okonkwo, said Soludo was not morally debased like Uloka’s paymaster.
Obigwe said God blessed Ndi Anambra with Soludo, a prudent manager of resources and a governor that runs the affairs of governance with wisdom.
Obigwe’s statement read in part,” I will state without mincing words that Governor Soludo cannot be associated with the dirty lifestyle of womanising that is the well known stock in trade of Obiora Okonkwo.
“Funny enough, this Obiora Okonkwo is Chuks Uloka paymaster on whose behalf he is blackmailing Governor Soludo with the sole aim of paving way for his ill conceived and dead on arrival governorship ambition.
“It is now that God blessed ndi Anambra with a prudent manager of resources and a Governor that runs the affairs of governance with wisdom.
“I’m not surprised that Chuks Uloka decided to use the pics of the accidental lawmaker from Ayamelum to portray the whole Anambra State House of Assembly members in a bad light by foolishly claiming that they are riding on keke napep.
“The only person that came to Anambra State House of Assembly with Keke Napep is the accidental lawmaker from Ayamelum.
“Governor Soludo is truly a man of great wisdom and his God given wisdom is of great help to how he is running the affairs of Anambra State.
Çontinuing, Obigwe said,”In my discussion with a Labour Party stalwart two days ago, he told me that Governor Soludo decided not to give official cars to the 30 lawmakers in Anambra State House of Assembly until they are through with their election petition cases and that immediately after the delivery of final judgement by the Court of Appeal, he distributed official cars to Anambra lawmakers.
“This is commendable. Whether anybody likes it or not, what Governor Soludo did is the right thing because had it been that he shared it before the delivery of final judgement by the Court of Appeal, he will end up sharing more than 30 cars to the lawmakers.
“This would have been the case if not for the wisdom applied by Governor Soludo in handling the issue.
OBIGWE’S STATEMENT READS FURTHER:
Let’s remember that at the end of the Court cases, some lost their position and those that won at the Court were sworn in.
The person that drew my attention to this was my friend that is a Labour Party stalwart.
What I said now was the reason the person that defeated Douglas Egbuna at the Court of Appeal was given a car immediately after his swearing in ceremony but Osite was not given a car.
One thing people must know is that Governor Soludo means well and he is not ready to waste Anambra resources.
It is laughable for Chuks Uloka to associate Governor Soludo with the dirty lifestyle of frolicking with girlfriends.
This is not what Governor Soludo is known for but in all honesty, Chuks Uloka is talking about what Obiora Okonkwo his pay master is known for as a hotelier that is into the business of frolicking with girlfriends.
Governor Soludo is taking Anambra to a greater height and as at today in Anambra, wasting of public resources can be likened to an abomination.
The last thing Governor Soludo will do is to approve reckless spending of Anambra resources.
When you engage Governor Soludo on a discussion involving money, he will not waste time to tell you about how many kilometres of road he can do with the money you want him to approve for you to go and waste.
For Governor Soludo, Anambra tax payers must be given value for their money and that is why if you go to his project sites, you will see your tax money at work for you boldly written on a signpost.
Governor Soludo is conscious of the fact that Anambra electorates hired him to work for them and not to waste their resources.
All those working with Governor Soludo and the Anambra House of Assembly members are facing this as a reality and making their own sacrifice towards the actualisation of the good intentions of the Governor for ndi Anambra.
The good people of Anambra State has embraced Governor Soludo disruptive change initiative and they are happily coping with it because they are seeing with their two eyes the transformation the disruptive change initiative brought to our beloved State.
Indeed, Anambra is in a safe hands and the good people of the State are happy that Governor Soludo’s administration is delivering dividends of good governance.
