Anambra state governor Prof Chukwuma Soludo,has been hailed by Chief Modestus Umenzekwe (Onwa-Achina) for showing example of good leadership in Anambra state.
In his congratulatory message to Soludo and his Deputy, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim on their second term inauguration Wednesday, the man who holds the traditional title of Enyimba -Aguata,praised Soludo’s master class in governance
He advised the Governor not to see his victory during the November 8 governorship election in 2025 as winner takes all, rather,he should embrace everybody to join hands in making Anambra the eldorado of his dreams
However,he implored the governor to use his second tenure which began Tuesday after the swearing in to write his name in gold in the minds of the citizenry, adding that most of the projects his administration had carried out would stand the taste of time for a long time in the state.
Onwa -Achina, maintained that his reelection justified the confidence the people of Anambra State had in him as well as his astute performance and commitment to the upliftment of the basic welfare of the people and overall development of the State during his first tenure.
The former Board Member of the Federal Housing Authority,(FHA), called of the governor to always maintain the cordial relationship existing between the administration and the state legislature without giving any individual or group space to divide them.
According to him,” I have confidence in our governor, what he has done in the past four years shows sincerity in governance,it shows he has the interest of people of Anambra at heart.
“I’m not a member of his Party, but as a positive man, when you see white or black apparels, you have to identify it as it is. I’m telling you right now that governor Soludo did well in his first tenure and the onus is now on him to maintain that momentum.
“And I think his leadership style and performance brought together both members of his party, the opposition members, captains of industries to Awka during his second term inauguration to give him support and it’s commendable ” Chief Umenzekwe said
Umenzekwe,who holds many other traditional titles both in Anambra and beyond, said Soludo had rekindled the confidence of the people in participatory democracy, which according to him, were evident in his massive accomplishments in education, health, agriculture, youth empowerment, security architecture, among others
“The people of Aguata,nay Anambra are proud of him. He has equally ,made our late leader, the former Vice President, Dr Alex Ekwueme proud in his grave ” he maintained
