Media, Academia Meet in Awka as Precious and Nonso Seal Marriage

Last Saturday’s wedding of Miss Precious Ogochukwu Okafor and Mr Chukwunonso Isiadinso can perfectly be described as a meeting of the who is who in the Anambra media space and the academia.
While Chukwunonso Isiadinso works at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka as a lecturer, Ogochukwu Precious Okafor, a philosophy graduate at UNIZIK works at Federal at Polytechnic, Oko, where she is a lecturer, making two of them members of the Anambra academic community.
Meanwhile, Ogochukwu’s father, Mr Tony Okafor is a known journalist in Anambra State, and works as the state correspondent of Punch Newspaper, and also using his influence to pull together the creme of the journalism profession in Anambra State, during the wedding.
Several notable personalities, including professors and senior staff of both Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka and the Federal Polytechnic, Oko were on ground, both at the church and at the reception for the couple.
Journalists and media managers in Anambra State, consisting of reporters and senior editors and executive of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) were on ground to share in the joy of their colleague’s daughter’s wedding.

Mr Obini Onuchukwu, a senior journalist and now senior staff of Federal Polytechnic, Oko chaired the occasion at Canna House, after a wedding ceremony that Held at Anglican Church, Emmaus House.
Mr Okafor, father of the bride while praying for the newly wedded couple urged them to tolerate each other and build a peaceful home.
Okafor who is popularly called Agu by his colleagues, and also known for his radical stand on issues urged the couple to follow the biblical injunction of God to humans to go to the earth, multiply and fill it.
He said to them, “bear as many children as you can. Multiply and fill the earth. If you bear more children than you can train, bring some to me, I will train them. I’m still young and ready to assist you, so do not fail to follow God’s instructions.”
The Okafor family hail from Agulu, while the Isiadinso family are from Enugwu-Ukwu in Anambra State.
