Paul Chukwuma Best to Win Anambra Governorship for APC, Says Obiano’s Right-Hand Man

Uzu Okagbue, a former top aide to ex-Governor Willie Obiano, has endorsed Paul Chukwuma as the best candidate to win the Anambra governorship for the APC.

Okagbue, who served as Chief Protocol to Obiano, believes Chukwuma possesses the ideal leadership qualities and experience to unseat the incumbent governor, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo.

He stated that the current situation in Anambra State favours the APC to win the state’s governorship, emphasizing that the unity, goodwill, and empowerment Paul Chukwuma has brought to the party are formidable.

Okagbue made this assertion on Friday at his Umunnachi residence in Dunukofia Local Government Area, while addressing the newly inaugurated Anambra Central Senatorial District Local Government Coordinators for Sir Paul Chukwuma’s APC primary election campaign council.

Chukwuma, a frontline APC gubernatorial aspirant, has been actively engaging with party stakeholders, emphasizing the need for the APC to organize itself for the 2025 governorship election.

He has outlined his vision for Anambra State, focusing on human capital development, infrastructural development, and security.

As a former National Auditor of the APC, Chukwuma brings a wealth of experience and party loyalty to the table.

He has welcomed the entrance of more aspirants into the party, saying it is a sign of the APC’s strength and popularity.

Chukwuma has also criticized Governor Soludo’s leadership style, accusing him of relying too heavily on theories.

According to Okagbue, Paul Chukwuma possesses the ideal financial capacity, compassion, and leadership qualities to unseat Soludo.

He praised Chukwuma’s commitment to institutionalizing the party in Anambra State and his spiritual investments in the Christian community.

“I support his ambition because of his effort and commitment to the wellbeing of Ndi-Anambra,” Okagbue said.

“We need him to address the uncontrollable insecurity in Anambra State. We will win Anambra, and we will stand by Paul Chukwuma because he is the best person to lead APC to victory.”

Okagbue emphasized the importance of unity, stating, “If we must win the November 8, 2025, gubernatorial election, we must stand together in unity and with an open mind. A house divided against itself cannot stand.”

The coordinators, in their unanimous acceptance speech, promised to deliver Sir Chukwuma at the party’s primary and the general elections.
