China invites Dr Nelson Omenugha for capacity building seminar in Beijing

The Special Adviser to Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State on Youth Empowerment Programme,

Dr Nelson Omenugha, has been selected by the Chinese Government for an international seminar on capacity building in Beijing, China.

The seminar is for capacity building on youth innovation, entrepreneurship and empowerment in Sub-Saharan African Countries (Phase III).

The programme is organized and sponsored by Academy for International Business Officials (AIBO), China.

The programme will hold in Beijing from November 2nd to 13th, 2023.

AIBO, our correspondent gathered, is an educational and training institution of China. One of its main responsibilities is to implement human resources development and cooperation projects, including training courses.

The Academy serves as the main base for China’s foreign aid training. It facilitates the joint efforts in implementing major initiatives such as the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and the Global Development Initiative (GDI), and continues to help developing countries accelerate their development by sharing China’s experience and programmes.

Our correspondent further gathered that the seminar also aims to share the theory, knowledge and experience of Chinese experts and entrepreneurs in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and cross-border e-commerce.

The programme would also promote the exchanges and capacity building of policymakers, practitioners and researchers from governments, intergovernmental organizations, United Nations agencies, the academia and the private sector of developing countries.

Among others, the topics of the seminar will mainly cover an overview of China’s national conditions, the development path of Chinese modernization, the implementation of the GDI and the building of a community of shared future, China’s experience on reform and opening up and economic development; investment facilitation for SMEs, the industrial policy for Chinese SMEs and the transformation and upgrading of Chinese SMEs, youth innovation, entrepreneurship and empowerment.

Speaking with our correspondent about the development, Omenugha expressed gratitude to Governor Soludo for approving his travel occasioned by the development.

He said, “This is an all-expense-paid trip by the Chinese Government — covering visa, flights, airport pickup, accommodation, feeding and upkeep.

” I most sincerely thank the Chinese Government for my nomination and final selection to participate at the capacity building training and sponsorship.

” Hon Ernest Ezeajughi, the Chief of Staff to the Governor had supported my nomination with some strong worded statements, of which I am grateful.

“My special gratitude goes to my principal and Governor, Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo CFR, for his gracious nod that made it possible to be away.

“The Governor is a champion of human capital development, and capacity building such as this readily receives his blessings. I look forward to an active participation & successful forge of stronger China-African-Anambra ties.
