Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has declared that he does not see any serious challenger ahead of the upcoming November 8, 2025, governorship election.

Speaking during a media chat to mark his third year in office, Soludo expressed confidence in his administration’s performance and the continued support of the people of Anambra.

The governor, who is seeking re-election under the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), said the party has consistently delivered the dividends of democracy and deserves another term.

According to him, there is a general consensus among Ndi Anambra that APGA remains the preferred choice at the state level. Soludo, a former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, emphasized the loyalty of Anambra voters to APGA during local and governorship elections, even if they support other parties at the national level.

“If there is an election, I mean there will be an election, and if I am the candidate, I will be on the ballot, and then I ask: who else is running?

Which party is fielding a candidate? So far, unless the person will come down from somewhere, I have not heard of any,” he said.

While noting that he has received calls to seek a second term, Soludo said the final decision on who flies the party’s flag will be made by APGA.

Reacting to Governor’s boast, a resident said,” Opposition must be clear with their mission, else, it will be walk in the pack.

Another resident quipped:”After April 5( Party primaries) coast go dey clearer for Prof”( Soludo)
