Sen (Mrs) Lillian Uche Ekwunife is an enigma of some sort that a lot of people don’t understand her unique nature, very cerebral, ebullient, eloquent, very exquisitely quintessential, and a fashionista extra-ordinaire.
Iyom is a unique jewel of inestimable value, a Florence Nightingale with a pure heart of gold. I thank God Almighty for the gift of her to Ndi Anambra, Ndigbo, Nigeria and to humanity in general.
Iyom Uche Ekwunife is an Amazon of our present time, she’s one lady that ventured into the world of men, competed with them and on several occasions beat them silly in elections.
In her years as a House of Representatives member and a Senator, she represented her constituency very well and gave excellent accounts of herself with visible and worthy Projects scattered all over her constituency and still counting.
She also built houses for a lot of widows and the have nots and built thousands of class rooms and renovated some schools too.
This is a feat her male counterparts could not achieve out of their selfishness but she decided to tow the part of credibility and integrity.
Sen Uche Ekwunife, Sen Enyinnaya Abaribe, Dr Uche Ogah, the immediate past Minister of Mines and Solid Minerals, Governor Alex Otti of Abia State and Governor Peter Mba of Enugu State are the only Nigerian Politicians that have credibility and integrity, so much that you can take their names to the bank as collaterals for a loan and it will be granted you.
As a wife, she’s second to none. Her husband, Chief Larry Ekwunife is from the Ancient Nri Kingdom. I am an Ada Nri with correct NAFDAC number and Iyom and her husband and family live at the back of father’s compound and she’s a very close friend of my Mum. Would you believe that Iyom makes her husband’s meals herself. So, I know her so well. She’s my beloved wife in whom I am well pleased.
And as a great mother that she is, she’s not only a mother to her own biological children but a mother also to everyone around her. She’s the only one celebrity I know with no airs around her.
Iyom Uche Ekwunife is worth more than all the gold, diamonds and all the gemstones of this world put together.
