The Senator representing Anambra Central, Senator Dr. Victor Umeh, has commenced the drilling of a Solar-Powered Borehole with Overhead Tank at Uffa Village Aguluzigbo to address water scarcity in the area.
The 900 feet Borehole Project, expected to provide the people of Uffa with steady access to potable drinking water, is in line with Senator Umeh’s effort at bringing succor to his senatorial district.
A stakeholder of the village, Hon. Chijioke Joseph Onyemechalu, commended Senator Umeh for his kind gesture, pledging that the community would make judicious use of the project when completed.
In another development, Senator Umeh flagged off the construction of a block of six classrooms at Udoka Primary School Eziowelle in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State.
According to Senator Umeh, education is the bedrock of any development, and the school project demonstrates his commitment to the development of education in Anambra Central Senatorial District.
A community chieftain of Eziowelle, High Chief Paul Okose, described the flag-off as historic, commending the lawmaker for being a promise-keeper.
The Head Teacher of the school, Mrs. Eucharia UcheChukwu Okoli, appreciated Senator Umeh’s effort, noting that the community would forever be grateful for the project.
Recall that on September 5, 2024, Senator Umeh awarded Tertiary Scholarship to 223 students, with four students from Eziowelle town benefiting from the scheme. This gesture underscores his passion for education and desire to empower future leaders.
Furthermore, Senator Umeh has commenced the construction of One-Block of Six Classrooms and Toilets at Eziogboo Primary School Amansea in Awka North Local Government Area. This project aims to provide a conducive learning environment for pupils and students.
Residents of Amansea Town expressed gratitude to Senator Victor Umeh for remembering their community.
Senator Umeh is determined to see this project completed in the shortest time frame possible. More similar projects are expected to take place in all parts of Anambra Central Senatorial District.
