Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, is shaking things up in his administration, targeting underperforming appointees in a bold move to optimize performance and accountability.

Nine appointees are reportedly on their way out as Soludo intensifies evaluation of appointees.

This development comes as Soludo approaches three years in office, having put up numerous projects aimed at transforming the state.

A source revealed that Soludo’s performance review has identified areas requiring improvement, prompting the impending changes.

“His focus on performance and efficiency is expected to impact various sectors, including information, signage, and advertising”,a source said.

Soludo’s approach is seen as a strategic move to reposition Anambra State for sustainable growth and development.

Stakeholders eagerly await the announcement of new appointees and the implementation of Soludo’s vision for a more efficient and effective government.

According to sources, “The changes will be implemented in the best interest of the state, with a focus on meritocracy and competence.

“The affected appointee are expected to hand over to their successors seamlessly, ensuring continuity in governance.”

Recently, Commissioner for Information Paul Nwosu resigned, and Dr. Law Mefor took over. Managing Director of Anambra Broadcasting Service, Chido Obidiegwu, was reportedly redeployed, replaced by Christopher Osemedua Molokwu.
