A governorship aspirant of All Progressives Congress (APC) in next year’s election in Anambra State, Mr Paul Chukwuma has accused Governor Chukwuma Soludo of governing the state with theories acquired from foreign agencies.

Chukwuma who addressed a press conference in his country home in Umueri, Anambra State on Saturday said IMF, World Bank theories and data bandied by Soludo have no bearing with practical realities on the ground in the state.

The Pro-Chancellor of Olivia University, Burundi and former Auditor-General of APC said the state is in a mess because of this, and there was need for citizens of the state to join hands with him to remove Soludo and set the state on the right path again.

He said: “Anambra is in a mess and we must all join hands to salvage the state, and it will be in our collective best interest to remove the incumbent governor.

“Everyday people are being kidnapped and people are harassed for tax, no economy develops that way. We need to remove ourselves from Economics theories and come down to everyday life experience.

“The letter ‘A’ is for apple, but where is the apple? We want to bring in a government that must apply local indices to solve our problems, not using IMF, World Bank theories and data to run Anambra State.

“Security will be our number one priority when we come on board. Tackling security is not rocket science, it’s something that can be done. I’m prepared to solve the problem of Anambra and I have the mental capacity to do so,” Chukwuma stated.

Speaking about the state of Anambra’s economy, Chukwuma said: “Some of the wealthiest men in Nigeria are from Anambra, but how many of them are willing to invest here? They will better invest in places where their investments are assured.

“Today we have a governor and event some in the past who do not have any investment in the state. I have investments here and we know how hard it is to do business here. We need to tackle this things once and for all.

“It is not by mistake that I am running a thriving business. Leadership and management of affairs of men is not a problem to me. What we are witnessing in Anambra today must not continue so.”

He added that even though Soludo goes to Abuja to present himself as one who is a supporter of APC, in Anambra, he continuously denigrates the party, and such is not acceptable.
