Anambra State Commissioner for Information, Dr Law Mefor has described Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo as a true statesman who is not chasing clout and doesn’t depend on politics to make a living like core politicians.

Speaking on Friday, September 20, while receiving the staff of Odenigbo 99.1FM, Obosi, Anambra State, who paid him a courtesy visit at the Jerome Udoji Secretariat Complex, Awka, Dr Mefor explained that the governor has made money and name as a Central Bank Governor and other positions he held earlier.

“Governor Soludo believes he can work on the potentials of Anambra State to make it truly the ‘Light of the Nation’. Soludo means business. He has made name, he has made money. He means what he says. I want Odenigbo FM to know that apart from commitment, Governor Soludo has a very rich blueprint to transform the state.

“The fact remains that he itemized his achievements in over 100 points (physical infrastructure) during his second year in office anniversary. One thing that will stop the skepticism about his achievements is to take journalists on project tour. You will see the physical infrastructure for yourself. Facts speak for themselves.

“We need to join him in actualizing the dream of transforming the state. In this journey, the media is inevitable. No government in Nigeria has achieved what Soludo has achieved without borrowing a kobo,” the commissioner said.

Mefor commended Odenigbo FM for living up to its name by reverberating and resonating across Igboland and beyond, which accounts for her recognition all over the state for 11 years.

Earlier, the leader of Odenigbo FM team, Comrade Ogemdi Ozoemenam explained that their visit was to familiarize with the commissioner and assured of the station’s readiness to continue to partner with the state in information dissemination.

Comrade Ozoemenam, who represented the Station Manager, Mrs Frances Nkiru Ogu, was accompanied by Chekwubechukwu Meekodinma, Igbo broadcaster; Chinenye Agu, Marketing Executive and Michael Odumefuna, a seasoned broadcaster.
