~ LP guber aspirant visits released music composer, Jude Nnam

A governorship aspirant of Labour Party for next year’s election in Anambra, Mr Valentine Ozigbo has expressed happiness over the release of Liturgical music composer, Dr Jude Nnam’s release from kidnappers den.
Nnam was kidnapped last week Thursday, and was freed on Wednesday night.
Ozigbo who visited Nnam after his release said it was unfortunate that while insecurity is engulfing Anambra, the state governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo seems to be in a deep slumber.
Ozigbo said: “I visited the legendary Christian music composer and director, Dr. Jude Nnam today. He was released yesterday by kidnappers.
“Dr. Nnam is only one among a long list of unfortunate Anambra citizens who have either been kidnapped or killed by hoodlums in Anambra State. Just last Monday five people were shot dead across two communities in the state.
“I join the rest of Anambra citizens in thanking God for the safe return of Dr. Jude Nnam and to pray that the spate of criminality is reduced while the number one citizen slumbers.
“I also thank God for Rev Fr Emmanuel Afunugo and Rev Sr Maria Nkiruka Okafor together with their driver, who were all accosted by the kidnappers but were allowed to go. The driver is still recuperating from gun wounds. It can only be God.”
He further added that: “It is no longer news today that hoodlums have overwhelmed the state’s number one citizen, Governor Chukwuma Soludo.
“What rankles is his now predictable and lethargic reaction to such. No matter what happens, Mr Governor neither visits the scene nor commiserates with victims and their families, a development that portrays his total lack of empathy for the people whose security is his primary responsibility.
“It is most unfortunate that citizens are now left to their own devices by a government which apparently misuses its security vote.
“His only reaction was his visit to Nibo a day after over a dozen citizens were killed by hoodlums. He visited, probably out of embarrassment that it occurred a shouting distance from his house. But even then, he turned that visit into a corn eating session in an obvious mockery of the situation, much to the distaste of the people of the state.
“Anambra does not deserve this sad situation. May God continue to save his people as the day of reckoning draws nigh,” Ozigbo said.
