South East APC Suspends of member for alleged anti-party

News

The All Progressives Congress in the South East Zone has ratified the suspension of its members in Enugu State, Hon Ginika Tor.

Tor, a federal commissioner with Federal Character Commission, representing Enugu State was suspended for alleged anti-party activities.

A press statement from the Zonal Chairman of the party, Dr Ijeomah Arodiogbu accused Tor of also forming a factional group in the party.

She had recently been suspended by the Enugu State Chapter of the party for same offense, before her suspension was ratified by the zonal chairman.

A statement sent to THE RAZOR read: “The SouthEast leadership of the party based it’s decision on the report of it’s disciplinary committee and a number of other items such as certain publications issued by Tor.

“Such publications had sought to bring the leadership of the party into hatred, contempt, disrepute and public ridicule.”

The zone said section 21:2 of the constitution of the party was violated, with the creation of an illegal faction by Tor.

“Based on such evidences against her we ratify the suspension of Ginika Tor from the All Progressives Congress by the executive of the Enugu State APC.”
