The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has taken a swipe at the Anambra State Chairman of the People Democratic Party, Chigozie Igwe, over a statement credited to him that the
two years of the state governor Prof Chukwuma Soludo is a disaster.
Reacting to Igwe’s comment in a statement on Thursday, the National Coordinator of APGA Media Warriors Forum, Chinedu Obigwe,said such comment could only come from a mischievous blind man.
Obigwe said PDP governed Anambra State for almost seven years and left the legacy of “hell fire on earth.”
The APGA media chief said,”Engr Chigozie Igwe that parades himself as Anambra PDP Chairman is a mischievous blind man.
“PDP governed Anambra State for almost 7years , Mbadinuju 4years and Chris Ngige almost 3years. But as I pen down this piece, I can say it boldly without fear of contradiction that Governor Soludo has used his administration 2 years in office to surpass Anambra PDP performance in the state from 1999 to 2006.
“It was the woeful and shameful performance of PDP in Anambra that made the electorate of the state to turn their back on them and reject them.
“It was under PDP rule that the people of Anambra experienced hell fire on earth.
They got their liberation from misrule through APGA.
Stating that unbiased minds were commending Soludo for his marvellous work in the state, Obigwe said no governor since the history of creation of Anambra State could boast of performing better than Soludo under two years.
He said,”It is not an easy feat for a governor to award 450km road projects across Anambra State and completed 240km in a short space of 2years ,
“Governor Soludo is not only working on the road sector, he is developing all sectors of governance simultaneously
“PDP holds the shameful record of burning down Anambra government House and other government properties but Governor Soludo is building a befitting government House.
“Anambra PDP does not have the moral justification to say anything against Governor Soludo because they destroyed this state completely before Anambra electorate decided to vote in APGA for a rescue mission.
“Nobody compares life and death, APGA as a party deserves commendation for what they are doing in Anambra. Governor Soludo is truly a game changer that is fulfilling his social contract agreement with Anambra electorate.
“Engr Igwe is only dwelling in self deceit and lying to himself because Ndi Anambra that are seeing the good work of Soludo with their two eyes will testify that Engr Chigozie Igwe claim that Governor Soludo’s two years in office is disastrous is a lie from the pit of hell.
“Governor that awarded 450km road projects across the State and about 240km road projects have been completed; a governor that dealt decisively with the menace of unknown gunmen and reduced the heartless criminals to hit and run cowards, a governor that gave free education to Anambra children from primary to JSS3 whereas Anambra PDP holds the record of keeping Anambra children at home for 1year plus because of their refusal to pay teachers salary.
“Governor Soludo recently distributed 2000 laptops to Headteachers and Principals of both government and mission schools; he initiated free antenatal and delivery services for our women in government owned hospital.
Continuing, the APGA media chief said Soludo had eradicated the era of hospitals and Primary Healthcare centres in the not having medical personnel, adding the governor had recruited of more medical personnel in the health sector than any other; recruited 5000 teachers and recruiting additional 3000 teachers to end the era of schools without teachers in thetate that was the known trademark of Anambra PDP.
He added that Soludo had empowered thousands of Anambra Youths with skill acquisition training and capital to start their own business and so on.
Obigwe said,”What Governor Soludo did in Anambra within a short space of 2years in office are too numerous to mention.
“Everything is not politics hence the reason I will advise Engr Chigozie Igwe to stop lying for the sole aim of scoring cheap points. Ndi Anambra rejected PDP because of their horrible experience in the hands of the party from 1999 to 2006.
“The people of Anambra are happy with Governor Soludo performance in office and they are using their mouth to make that confession. What the people of Anambra are saying as at today is that they will reward Governor Soludo good works with a well deserved 2nd term in office mandate.
“I have never seen Governor Soludo talk about 2nd term reelection rather you will hear Ndi Anambra telling him to consider running for reelection to be rewarded with a well deserved 2nd term mandate.
“They say this because of their satisfaction with his performance in office. 4 + 4 equals to 8 for Governor Soludo is what you now hear in Anambra from the people of the State.
No vacancy in Anambra government House till 2030.”
