The daughter of Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, Ifeatu Adaora Soludo, has called on women across the state to rally support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.
Adaora Soludo, who serves as the Anambra State Women Leader of the City Boy Movement, made the call during a strategic engagement with Local Government Women Coordinators of the group drawn from the 21 council areas of the state.
Addressing the coordinators, she stressed the critical role of women in the success of political movements, describing them as “the backbone of any successful organisation.”
She urged participants to remain active and committed to the vision of the City Boy Movement, which she said is focused on securing a second term for President Tinubu.
“President Tinubu has done well in his first tenure, so our vision in the City Boy Movement is to bring him back for a second tenure, and Anambra State will not be an exception,” she said.
Adaora Soludo noted that progressive elements within Anambra were aligning efforts towards achieving the objective, adding that the movement’s agenda was time-bound and required dedication and strategic coordination.
In a statement following the meeting, she described the session as “engaging and productive,” commending the enthusiasm and commitment displayed by the women coordinators and their deputies.
“The agenda at hand is one with a deadline, and we must show strong commitment to achieving nothing short of excellence,” she said.
She further emphasised that the City Boy Movement is anchored on “strategic progressivism,” expressing confidence in the capacity of Anambra women to drive the initiative.
“Women are the backbone of this mission, and I am deeply inspired by the passion, dedication, and energy demonstrated by this remarkable group,” she added.
Adaora Soludo concluded on an optimistic note, declaring: “History awaits. It is indeed City Boy season.”
The meeting is seen as part of ongoing grassroots mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 general elections.
