Tansian University, Umunya, Anambra State inaugurated its new/re-constituted Governing Council, following the dissolution of the former Governing Council.
●Given the new ‘look’ of the institution, which now has a number of distinguished personalities at the helm of affairs, and the calibre of people who are Members of its new Governing Council, there are high hopes that the University will be taken to great heights.
●At the helm of affairs are: His Eminence, Peter Ebere Cardinal Okpaleke (Visitor/Chairman of Board of Directors), Senator Dr. Victor Umeh (Chancellor), Prof. Nkechi Theresa Obiekezie, immediate-past Hon Commissioner for Tertiary Education (Pro- Chancellor and Chairman of Governing, Prof Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, Hon Commissioner for Education (Council Member) and A number of other eminent Council Members.
Prof Chinyere Okunna, an eminent professor of Mass Communication said: “As a Member of the former Governing Council, I was re-appointed and sworn into the new Council today during the Inaugural Council Meeting at the Secretariat of the Catholic Diocese of Ekwulobia.
“Definitely, this is more work seriously loading for me, but I am prayerfully confident that it shall be well with me and the entire Team.”
