Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, CFR, towers in fine fettle as the consensus candidate of NdiAnambra for the Saturday, November 8 gubernatorial election. His so-called opponents are neither here nor there.
Soludo is solidly backed by Anambra State’s one and only political party, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), and the all-embracing presence is so overwhelming in all the 21 local government areas of the state, including the 362 wards and the 5720 polling units.
It is cool by me to restate here that the re-election of Governor Soludo is a done deal. Soludo is head and shoulders above the ill-assorted pack of wannabe contenders who are quite anonymous. The record of work of the Solution Governor who has been crowned “Oluatuegwu” across the three senatorial zones is intimidating and very unmatchable. The astonishing dimension to the Soludo revolution in Anambra State is that he achieved the unbeatable feats in infrastructure and human capital development without borrowing one kobo!
Anambra State has never had it so good even as Soludo insists that he is still on the starting-block. His landslide re-election will surely shoot Anambra into the stratosphere of unprecedented development and accomplishments.
With his uttered word as his visible bond, Soludo started from the moment of his inauguration by stepping into the slums of Okpoko and turned the erstwhile forbidden abode into a well-endowed town that is now known as New Heaven, with paved roads, General Hospital, streetlights etc.
Before the advent of Soludo, eight of Anambra’s 21 local governments were under the charge of the nefarious “Unknown Gunmen”. Soludo sacked the miscreants and has brought security all over Anambra State with the introduction of Udo-ga-achi and Agunechemba.
With the award of the contract for the construction of the Ekwulobia-Nnobi dual carriageway, Soludo is poised to complete the beltway linking the entirety of Anambra State, intervolving the big townships of Onitsha, Nnewi, Awka and Ekwulobia with interconnecting ring roads.
A grand re-election is the reward of the leader of Anambra State who broke the jinx with the construction of the ultra-modern Government House and Lodge now christened Light House, the doer who delivered the inimitable Solution Fun-City while successfully undertaking the landmark transformation of Awka as a capital city.
It will amount to an impossible task for any of Soludo’s mismatched challengers to travel as far as the riverine Olumbanasaa community in Anambra West Local Government that only Soludo has been the only Anambra State governor to visit on Saturday, November 25, 2023.
Soludo has been endorsed by the who’s who in Anambra State, and the three senatorial zones have held grand rallies in support of the employer of 8115 teachers and umpteen doctors and healthcare workers, alongside bestowing free education, free ante-natal care, and massive youth empowerment.
Governor Soludo’s re-election remains assured up there with the stars, a victory foretold.
