Lagos demolitions: House owners visit Umeh, hails his intervention

As follow up to the interventions of the Senator representing *Anambra Central, Senator Dr Victor Umeh, OFR* towards bringing to an end, the continued demolition of houses at Abule-Ado area of Festac, Lagos state, owners of houses in Abule-Ado on Wednesday paid a courtesy visit to Senator Victor Umeh in his National Assembly office where they extolled his outstanding and proactive performance in the Senate.

The Group led by its Chairman, Chief Henry Arinzechi expressed delight with Senator Victor Umeh’s timely intervention on the demolition of their houses which according to them were built with their hard-earned money under the tough economic situation in the country. They affirmed that demolitions have been suspended courtesy of his proactive and fruitful engagements.

The Group described Senator Victor Umeh as a quintessential Lawmaker who knows his onions in effectively representing his people and has the requisite experience for resolving even difficult situations.

The Abule-Ado house owners further thanked the Management of the Federal Housing Authority—F.H.A particularly the Managing Director, Senator Gbenga Ashafa for his thoughtfulness in calling off the demolition exercise.
