A total of three operatives of different security agencies in Anambra State collapsed during the inauguration of Anambra State Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo on Tuesday.
The incident happened during the parade which happened at the Dr Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka.
The three operatives consist of a male police operative, another male operative of Directorate of State Services (DSS) and the last being a female operative of Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC).
While the police operative was first to collapse, the NSCDC operative collapsed towards the end of the event and was later escorted to an ambulance, as she rejected being taken in a stretcher.
A source said the police operative was later resuscitate, but was still not stable, leading to his being taken in an ambulance to Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, Amaku Awka.
Their collapse were attributed to fatigue as a result of long period of parade under the harsh weather which was extremely sunny.
