Uloka Vs Obigwe: Send your media aide to school, Uloka charges Soludo
Politics
The war of words between the media aides of Anambra State governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo and that of Chairman of United Nigeria Airlines, Obiora Okonkwo may not be ending anytime soon.
The duo, Chinedu Obigwe and Chibuike Uloka have recently been exchanging words as they strive to defend their various bosses.
In a recent exchange, Uloka has called on Soludo to send O Igwe back to school, saying he lacked the finesse to be anyone’s media aide, much more a governor.
Below is the full write up by Uloka…
I have been alerted to the activities of one Chinedu Obigwe on WhatsApp platforms, who is the Senior Special Assistant to Professor Charles Soludo. It appears that Obigwe is solely engaged by the government of the day for social media insults and abuses, aiming to become the Governor’s hitman and pen assassin, this, against his claims of an image-maker.
Typically, I do not pay attention to such individuals, especially when they are innuendos and wannabes like Obigwe. However, since his sheer folly has been endorsed by the Governor himself, who encourages the ragtag, I feel compelled to address it. But I must emphasize that Obigwe is not worthy of my attention nor a match for me.
It is unfortunate that Charles Soludo, a renowned Professor and gentleman, has chosen to hire someone like Obigwe as his image maker. This decision reflects poorly on the Governor’s character, as he allows his reputation to be influenced by someone who is unfit for a serious intellectual debate among responsible individuals.
The position of an image-maker is esteemed and should not be occupied by just anyone, let alone a chimpanzee. It certainly should not be entrusted to an intellectually and morally bankrupt person like Chinedu Obigwe.
One without a clear identity or information— to this day, there is no substantial information available about Chinedu Obigwe on the Internet, including his credentials, education, publications, or any brief citation that would match his role as the Chief Image Maker for a Professor and Governor of a high-profile state.
The character and intentions of a leader are often revealed through their actions and words. Therefore, the fact that Charles Soludo has assigned someone like Chinedu Obigwe should concern not just me, but the entirety of the people of Anambra state. We have entrusted Professor Soludo with our mandate, and it is troubling to see him associated with miscreants and innuendos who are bankrolled with tax payers money.
The only offense committed by me, which seems to have triggered his nonsensical behavior, is simply opposing the misruling APGA Government in Anambra State.
It is sad that Professor Charles Soludo, in his desperation to silence dissenting voices and control the opposition and journalists who stand as the gatekeepers to those in power, mistakenly sees himself as an emperor. He has taken hold of the Anambra state treasury as his private beer parlour establishment and do not wish for scrutiny.
In response to my recent piece about the situation and conditions of the Anambra State lawmakers, I had expected the Governor’s image-maker to provide facts and evidence to challenge my claims. Instead, the unfortunate illiterate, whose primary task seems to be to attack and defame, resorted to abuse and actions that contradict Professor Soludo’s public statements claiming to be a servant of the people of Anambra state.
It is concerning that Soludo and his chief image maker, Chinedu Obigwe, frequently shift their frustrations towards Professor Obiora Okonkwo. This constant name-dropping highlights the fear and uncertainty that grip Agu-Awka. While this tactic only garners worthy attention to Okonkwo and diminish Charles Soludo in terms of intellect, popularity, and leadership skills, it also reveals the panic and distress of the unpopular administration in Agu-Awka.
The unnecessary mentioning of Professor Okonkwo reflects the fear and political uncertainty that pervades Agu-Awka. However, my activities do not warrant the frequent attacks from an insignificant individual like Chinedu Obigwe, whom Soludo prefers to use as an image launderer rather than an image maker.
Anambra State faces significant challenges today due to APGA and Soludo’s ill-conceived policies. These policies not only harm rural dwellers and businesses in the state but also tarnish the overall image of our beloved Anambra State and negatively impact the mental well-being of our citizens. Instead of exploring solutions to address issues such as rising poverty, unemployment, out-of-school children, and crime, the Governor’s media aide is only creating more problems and making the already helpless administration more vulnerable.
The utmost need for Chinedu Obigwe, who seems haunted by various spirits and has fled his ancestral home, is to undergo rehabilitation. It is crucial for him to return to school, obtain a degree, and improve his poor and unconvincing writing skills. He should be taken out of the slum and find reconciliation with the troubling spirits of his ancestors. Perhaps, by doing so, he may become worthy of the attention he seeks.
Parading himself as Soludo’s image-maker and gaining recognition from Agu-Awka further denigrates the esteemed office of the Governor. Hence, Charles Soludo cannot don the toga of a professor and resorts to recruiting school dropouts and mediocre writers as image-makers who, instead of enlightening citizens whose mandate he has in trust for them, would resort to foolery.
