Unizik VC, Esimone Appoints Ojukwu Adviser on Public Relations, Special Duties

The Vice Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Prof Charles Esimone, has appointed former public relations officer of the institution, Dr. Emmanuel Ojukwu as Special Adviser on Public Relations and Special Duties.
The appointment letter dated July 5, 2023, and signed by the Registrar of the University Barrister Philomena Okoye, was sighted by THE RAZOR.
Esimone in the letter said the appointment was to enable Ojukwu contribute more to the growth of the University.
Ojukwu was Director of Information and Public Relations of the University from 2007 to 2019. He became a lecturer 1 in the Department of Political Science where he was promoted to Senior Lecturer in 2022.
Ojukwu who confirmed his appointment to THE RAZOR in a telephone interview said in his new position, he is expected to advise the Vice Chancellor on critical areas of stakeholder engagement and other duties as may be assigned to him by the Vice Chancellor.
Ojukwu, a graduate of University of Benin holds a degree in English Language, a post graduate Diploma in Mass Communication and a PhD in Political Science.
