A United States-based Nigerian lawyer, Kachi Aghasili, has extended her felicitations to the Labour Party in Anambra State, expressing her commitment to the party’s growth and success.
During a conference call in the party’s June 5 meeting in Awka, Aghasili, who hails from Awka South Local Government Area, urged party members to remain steadfast and keep the party’s flag flying.
Aghasili emphasized the importance of democratic representation, highlighting the benefits of responsive and responsible leadership.
She assured the party members that she would attend their meetings in person whenever she is next in Nigeria.
The meeting was attended by notable figures, including former Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) State Chairmen Comrades Charles Onyeagba and Jerry Nnubia, LP local government Chairmen, and their NLC Political Committee local government counterparts.
This gathering demonstrated the party’s renewed hope and growing strength.
Labour Party State Chairman, Mr. Peter Okoye, thanked Aghasili for her concern and commitment to the party’s well-being, assuring her that the gesture would not be forgotten.
The Chairman of Anambra State NLC Political Committee, Comrade Charles Onyeagba, also expressed gratitude and assured Aghasili that her concern would not be in vain.
Earlier, Peter Okoye tasked party members to rejuvenate the party across the 21 local government areas and 326 wards in preparation for the party’s upcoming congresses and convention.
With Aghasili’s support and the party’s renewed energy, the Labour Party in Anambra State is poised for a bright future.
