The National Coordinator of All Progressives Grand Alliance Media Warriors Forum, Chinedu Obigwe, has described politics as a game of alignment and realignment.
For that reason, he said “if Osita Chidoka decides to join APGA, the party faithful will roll out drums and red carpet to welcome him as a political iroko.
Obigwe stated this in a statement he made available to our correspondent in Awka, the Anambra State capital, on Monday.
The APGA media Chief said,” I deemed it necessary to make the above captioned point because Osita Chidoka to the best of my knowledge is among Anambra best brain.
“He is respected globally and can as well be described as a political iroko.
“Those insinuating that he will take over from Governor Soludo are only making a futile attempt to preempt his future political moves.
“One good thing I like about Osita Chidoka is his unalloyed support for Governor Soludo administration and that support is fuelled by his belief that Soludo is the man Anambra needs to get to an enviable height in Nigeria politically and otherwise.
“When he served as a member of Governor Soludo transition Committee, he rendered selfless service to the State.
“In years to come, there is no way the history of Governor Soludo transformation of Anambra State as Governor will be written without a mention of the valued contribution of Osita Chidoka as a result of his membership of Soludo transition Committee.
Continuing, “If it’s about qualification, Osita Chidoka is eminently qualified to govern Anambra State but for now, such discussion shouldn’t arise.
“When that time comes, if God decide that it will be Osita Chidoka that will succeed Governor Soludo, there is nothing anybody can do about it.
“The genuine support of Osita Chidoka for Governor Soludo administration is commendable and APGA faithfuls are grateful to him for that.
“He has shown that his party affiliation cannot stop him from supporting something he knows very well that is for the best interest of ndi Anambra.
“After the completion of Governor Soludo divinely ordained 8years tenure and power shifts to Anambra Central, Osita Chidoka has the right to join the race and it will now be left for Anambra electorates to decide who will succeed him by that time.
“For me and other APGA faithful, if Osita Chidoka decides to join our party, we will roll out drums and red carpet to welcome him as a political iroko because such development calls for celebration.”
