The Muslim community in Anambra State, has tasked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to mainly focus on how to solve the issue of insecuriy, saying Nigeria needs peace.
They gave the charge Wednesday, as they joined their counterparts across the world to celebrate this year’s 2023 Eid festival amidst conducive environment.
The Muslim community, gathered at the Amawbia Sports Club field, as they offered prayers with a large turnout
Also, Top government officials of Muslim extraction including Miyetti Allah leadership in the state were present at the prayer ground.
In his message, the Seriki Hausawa in Anambra State, Alhaji Garuba Haruna, appealed to Tinubu, to focus his administration more on insecurity.
According to him, “Nigeria seriously needs peace to sustain it’s already existing one.
We will continue to pray for our leaders.
“We prayed for a peaceful election during the February and March general elections and they happened successfully .
“And we are also praying now vehemently for a successful government of President Tinubu, because the success will be of benefit to every Nigerian irrespective of religion, ethnic and tribal placement”
The Muslim leader, however, advised other political office holders in the country to carry everyone along in the cause of discharging their assigned responsibilities.
Also, the leader of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), Alhaji Gidado Sidikki, in his message, thanked God for making the celebration a huge success in the state.
He commended the state governor, Chukwuma Soludo for ensuring a conducive environment for the celebration.
