Oye@67: Soludo calls him committed Nigerian and a true progressive

The Anambra State Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, has described the immediate past National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Ozonkpu Victor Oye as a committed Nigerian and a true progressive.

Soludo stated this in congratulatory message to Oye to mark his( Oye’s) 67th birthday celebration.

The governor said Oye’s sterling leadership qualities as the former APGA National Chairman contributed tremendously in stabilising the party

He said, “Ozonkpu Oye has proven to be one committed Nigerian, who continues to work tirelessly as a true progressive in moving the country forward.

The birthday message which was signed by the
Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr
Christian Aburime, added, “The Governor, therefore, join millions of Nigerians, especially members of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), in congratulating and celebrating the indefatigable former National Chairman on his 67th birthday, wishing him good health, long life and more prosperous years ahead”

Oye bowed out as the national chairman of the party on May 31, 2023 during a national convention of the party held in Awka, the Anambra State capital after serving two terms of four years each.

Within his tenure, he built a national headquarters of the party in Abuja and a five -storey APGA South-East regional office in Awka.

He also handed over cash of over N300 million to his successor, besides making APGA stronger during his reign.
